One route done properly
A removals company that runs the UK to Finland route and does not pretend to be a general international mover with a Finland page.
What this site is
A single-destination hub for UK to Finland household removals. Collection anywhere in the UK, delivery anywhere in Finland, and the paperwork in between.
That focus is the point. A firm covering forty destinations knows the paperwork for none of them properly; the transfer-of-residence process, the Baltic routing decision and the difference between a Helsinki lift booking and a Lapland forest track are specific knowledge, and they are what this route actually turns on.
One inventory, three jobs
The document written at survey prices the move, clears the border and settles any question at delivery. That is why it is written carefully rather than as a rough list of rooms.
It also explains why we care about labelling more than a domestic mover does. At a border, a carton marked 'kitchen' is not an inventory. A carton listed against specific contents is.
Finland is inside the single market
Worth stating because the two get conflated. Finland is in the EU, in Schengen and in the Eurozone. Goods move within the single market and what you need is the transfer-of-residence process, not a full third-country import entry.
That makes it simpler than a non-EU Nordic route and it does not make it automatic. The relief still has to be claimed, the inventory still has to be right, and applications still get refused for detail that is easy to get wrong and slow to correct once goods are moving.
What we say about scheduling
Consolidated loads run to a schedule rather than on demand. We would rather explain that than imply a vehicle leaves whenever you are ready — booking early and staying flexible on the date generally gets a better-placed slot.
If your dates genuinely cannot bend at either end, a full load is the honest recommendation and we will make it, even though shared space would have looked cheaper on the quote.
What we do not do
Cars and pets. Both need specialists and we will say so rather than taking on something we are not set up for. We also do not quote a figure before someone has looked at the move, because on this route the destination access can change the answer as much as the volume does.
What we do not do
We do not quote before we understand the job. We do not promise a transit time we cannot stand behind. We do not take on a property without establishing that we can physically reach it. And we do not claim awards, accreditations, press coverage or customer numbers we have not got — if it is not on this site, it is because it is not true yet.
Cover
Goods in transit and storage cover are in place, with the usual conditions around owner-packed cartons and items of unusual value. Declare anything genuinely valuable at survey and we will confirm in writing what applies. The contractual position is on the terms page.
Getting hold of us
The quote form is quickest. Contact has the rest, questions covers what comes up first, and areas we cover shows exactly where our ground runs out.
Moving to Finland?
Send both addresses and a sense of what is coming. We survey, build the inventory that doubles as your customs packing list, and quote in writing.
